JSC Georgian Card is looking for a Database Administrator to join our team.

As the Database Administrator in JSC Georgian Card, you will work closely with our IT teams and business units. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, security and reliability of critical data environments. You will also collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support complex enterprise systems. What you will do:

Handle multiple database environments and projects simultaneously;

Participate in project meetings, analyze requirements and contribute to technical design discussions;

Design, develop and maintain Oracle, PostgreSQL and other database systems;

Install, patch, configure and upgrade Oracle Database and Grid Infrastructure;

Design and implement backup & recovery strategies;

Implement high-availability and failover solutions (RAC, Active Data Guard);

Monitor database performance and troubleshoot complex issues;

Perform performance tuning of Oracle instances, SQL and PL/SQL;

Manage ASM storage and optimize database infrastructure;

Administer PostgreSQL environments including High Availability, Load Balancing and Replication;

Support MongoDB environments including cluster configurations;

Develop and standardize database installation and configuration procedures;

Automate database administration tasks using Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools;

Perform capacity planning and optimize database environments;

Support Export/Import processes and data migration activities;

Collaborate with infrastructure teams on storage solutions and operating systems;

Participate in incident management and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.


What you have:

Minimum 4+ years of experience managing and supporting Oracle databases in Unix environments and 6+ years of overall IT experience;

Strong experience with Oracle Database (19c, 21c) architecture and infrastructure design;

Experience in Oracle administration including configuration, optimization and maintenance;

Experience with Oracle ASM;

Strong knowledge of backup and recovery methodologies;

Experience with PostgreSQL architecture and administration;

Experience with MongoDB administration;

Experience with Solaris and Red Hat Linux operating systems;

Experience with performance tuning using OEM or third-party tools;

Experience with high-availability solutions such as RAC and Active Data Guard;

Experience with scripting and process automation;

Understanding of capacity planning and database optimization;

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; communicative, flexible, team player, self-starter with can-do attitude and independent initiative.

Preferred:

Oracle OCP or OCM Certification;

Experience with Exadata platform;

Experience with SQL Server administration;

Experience with AWS or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure;

Experience with enterprise storage solutions (e.g., NetApp, Oracle ZFS);

Experience with Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall;

Ability to write stored procedures, packages, triggers and functions.

Bachelor or Master Degree in Information Technologies, Computer Science or related field preferred.
